In first grade

We were taught to stray from God

Millions of years ago

We evolved from just a frog

Without God

There's no one to be answered to

It's so much easier

To answer to the God in you

A scientist thinks

We know it's absurd

But every history book is filled with all these lies

We had to name all the apes

A long lost relative

Of someone who your sister dates

There's no soul

You are just a big machine

You're higher power is

The great men who make gasoline

I’d always thought that my teachers knew a lot

Now I know where their all going to go

Maybe God will make them stay after school

In college

We had to dissect a lamb

The perfect sacrifice

To learn about the great I am

So one day

A few of us found out the truth

Not one teacher shared

This new with us within our youth
